Mining History
There is no historical mining activity on the Nuurst Project, however, on the adjacent Peabody Winsway Resources Union project (which the Nuurst licence surrounds on three sides) there is an abandoned open pit. This pit was mined from 2004 until 2007 and supplied coal to the local market.
